At first I wasn't sure

Good sir this is a solid mashup of synths n drums. Your composition is nice too, it might be my speakers but your hats around 2:14 seem a bit weak almost like the kicks are overpowering things just a tad.

Its not a bad track though, I think you can take it farther than you already have. I'm not huge on trance, but I use the occaisonal gated synths here n there, overall I thnk you've done nicely.

This is pretty sick!

I think you've done an excellent job with this, its a very progressive style of beat and I think you should be proud of what you've put together.

Unfortunately nowadays little gems like these aren't appreciated as much due to mainstream shit hoggin up the spotlight n all. But good on you man, I like this quite a bit.

Did you use a Vst for you orchestral instruments and such? Ever tried sampling and stuff before? I'd like to know, cause you kinda grabbed my attention with this one.

I can't give you a ten, because that would mean this is perfect - to get that the overall production would have to be flawless - but you come pretty close.

Anyhow hit me up, I'd like to give you a link to some of my work, maybe we could bounce ideas off each other n shit. You're good. Keep on going.

Seems like everyone is messing with dubstep

Im liking it actually, except the opening. It should be noted that not all dubstep needs a crazy LFO bass - but im no expert. If you want an example of some dubstep without a wobble bass take a look at 2 of my remixes.

I think you could definitely go further with this by the way, its not half bad.

EternalXIII responds:

xD, Yeah I know that the wobble bass isn't 100% necessary, but I'm practicing it at the moment, I just really like the sound. This and the other dubstep track I uploaded are pretty much me messing around with wobble bass, then finding a sample to throw on top. My next major obstacle will be cleaning up all the sounds. All my basses get super muddy. Once I get that figured out I'll start adding fx :)

Anyways, thanks for the review.

Seem heartfelt

In my opinion you have a good singing voice, I like the lyrics too. I understand this song will mean a lot to you and I think whoever this is going to will appreciate it.

However Im unsure if I can offer sufficient constructive criticism as this is song is out of my comfort zone.

Overall I'm feeling the emotion, it sounds like a regular love song to me but once again im no expert. I do like you're chorus though. So keep workin on this.

Oh and not to be a dick, but be sure to check out some of my work too :P

BelligerentF responds:

Thanks, sure will

Alright.

Interesting use of LFO, your composition of notes seems is more or less standard... thats not inherently bad of course. Its alright, nothing special and of course i dont mean to offend you. What I do like is how the main synth pans and how you used the envelope over it. I do think more work could have been put into of course.

It is quite miscellaneous, seems like you were experimenting if anything.

Ah well, I'm sure you'll improve, you seem to know what you're doing.

Perhaps I'm just not feeling this track as much as others might? Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Tykwa responds:

Was a long term wip which i just pasted some crappy drums over.

And, I always experiment with everything I create. :3.

Thanks for the review.

Quite Nice.

This sounds pretty unique to me, like it could be in a videogame or something. The composition is fantastic its just the synths perhaps. I wasnt a fan of the piano, but it wasn't bad either. The chorus/main synth is great.

Hmm okay... All in all I'll say this is a good track - Its the piano or perhaps the quality of the piano that gets me. These things can always be changed fortunately.

So yeah, keep it up. I think is along the lines of Dubstep.

Solid

All together I have to say I like this, the samples aren't half bad. I could see someone spitting something a bit lighthearted or jovial on this track. The reverb works well on the drums as well. I'd definitely just download and vibe to this after blazing. Good job bud, keep it up. If you ever feel like collaborating let me know.

Heh those snares even sound familiar ;)

Hmm but I guess I should make this constructive... I wasn't feeling the opening that much, but it could just be me.

Not bad.

Perhaps its just my taste in music, but there are some parts in the song where there wasn't enough going on. Your drum beats are solid for the BPM and the opening was great as were most of the areas where you used the movie samples - however after a while things start sounding a bit dull - but overall its not bad. You definitely know what you're doing for the most part. So keep it up and remember to try using a couple of Pads - especially after where the guy says "open this door and ill break through it"

FocusedFINN responds:

Hey, thanks very much for the honest review. I appreciate the thoughtfulness and constructiveness of it - I will take it to heart!

Thanks again - FiNN

I love this!

Seems like you put a lot of work into this track, excellent work. I mean, dude - this is really, really well done! The snaps are fine, don't listen to that other guy. Like someone else said, this could be used as a title screen/menu screen. Its just so dark and symphonic - I love it.

This deserves more votes thats for damn sure.

S3C responds:

Thanks for the kind words man! I'll have to review your some of your cool tunes sometime.

I like this, a lot.

Keep it up. You definitely have potential, I'd love for you to give me some criticism on some of my work sometime, if you don't mind.
